Rodeo 2010 because she would like to be a spokesperson for the rodeo that has been in her town for as long as she has lived there and because she believes she could represent the rodeo in a mature and respectable manner.  Abbey is sponsored by He & She Fitness, Everette and Karin Sandell, Rick and Renae Augustine at Burklund Transportation Inc., Dale and Shanna Miller at Shipperquest Brokerage, and Casagranda Horseshoeing.

Amanda Christine Freis

Amanda is the 19 year old daughter of Bob and Lori Freis of Daggett, MI.  Following her graduation from Carney-Nadeau High School, she travelled downstate to attend Michigan State University, where she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.  Amanda has 7 years of riding experience and was a member of the 2009-2010 Michigan State University Equestrian Team.  She has also attended several clinics held by Ryan Rose and taken lessons from 4-H leaders over the years.  When she is not riding and showing horses, Amanda also enjoys camping, spending time outdoors, music, volunteering for the Proud Equestrian Program, and being involved with the Midnight Riders 4-H Club and the MSU Rodeo Club. She would like to be crowned Miss U.P. Rodeo 2010 because she wants to be a role model for young girls across the Upper Peninsula. Amanda is sponsored by the Michigan State University Emergency Response Solutions and Railway Management Program.

Julie Ann Wardynski

Julie is the 19 year old daughter of Frank and Kathy Wardynksi from Ontonagon, MI.  She attended Ontonagon Senior High School and now is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Northern Michigan University.  Julie has been riding for 10 years and has taken lessons from several local trainers. Some of her hobbies outside of riding horses include playing hockey, baseball, basketball, running track, and showing cattle and hogs.  She would like to become Miss U.P. Rodeo because it has been a dream of hers since she was a little girl and she wants to promote the U.P. Championship Rodeo as well as the sport of rodeo across the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin.  Julie is sponsored by ALF Cattle Company, Great Lakes Rodeo, RJ Wardynski, J-75 Logging, Jackie Strauch, and Kathy Turek Designs.

Jennifer Lynn Breuer

Jennifer (Jenny) is the 22 year old daughter of John and Diane Breuer from Hartford, WI.  She attended Slinger High School and then went on to pursue her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin River Falls, where she is currently a senior.  She has been riding for 12 years and has had experience taking lessons, showing, trail riding, and starting one of her own horses under saddle.  She was also involved with the Slinger FFA chapter, where she completed an Agricultural Experience that involved riding and training horses.  Upon entering college, she completed a course in Equine Equitation and Management.  Outside of riding horses and the sport of the rodeo, some of her interests include raising and working with livestock, photography, firefighting, sports, and being with family and friends.  Jenny would like to become Miss U.P. Rodeo in order to promote the annual U.P. Championship Rodeo, as well as the sport in general.  She recognizes that rodeo is a sport that has become a lifestyle and passion of many, for both contestants and spectators alike, and would enjoy being that friendly face that promotes this fantastic sport and provides information and insight.  Jenny is sponsored by Alaska House and Karen Walta.
